ABOUT
The Tabla Studio is a leading tabla school in the greater Toronto area offering Tabla and Dholak lessons at various locations to students of all ages and skill level. We specialize in the study, training, and research of Tabla. Over a few years, the students of our school have aided in many charitable events and cultural programs. The Tabla studio continues to promote and provide skilled stage performers who offer their talents to the community by participating in Mandir events, cultural shows, weddings, birthdays, and other sangeet programs.
ABOUT
The Teacher
Dinesh Hansraj, founder of The Tabla Studio, comes from a family of musicians and has spent over 14 years learning and performing the art of tabla. Dinesh's tabla training initially began with Shrimati Rachna Mehra of the Benaras Gharana and continues his studies in Indian classical music under the tutelage of the prominent Tabla maestro, Pandit Nishikant Barodekar, a senior disciple of Ustad Allah Rakha. Dinesh has contributed to the community for many years by performing and taking part in charitable and cultural programs for various organizations. He continues to focus on learning and teaching the younger generation the art of tabla, to ensure the preservation of this musical form.
